New mum Stacey Solomon admits to murderous thoughts over husband Joe Swash's noisy nights

Stacey Solomon has "wanted to kill" Joe Swash many times since their son was born.

The 30-year-old presenter - who has Zachary, 11, and Leighton, seven, from previously relationships and Rex, four months, with the former 'EastEnders' star - thinks the actor is a "great dad" but he's "terrible" when it comes to night duty and even when he's offered to let the 'Loose Women' panellist sleep and look after their baby's needs, he's managed to wake Stacey.

She said: "There have been times when I wanted to kill him, but most of the time I'm completely in love with him and he's a great dad.

"During the night he's terrible though - he has the best intentions but deep down he's not built for night feeds.

"He tries to let me have the night off and then he wakes up and shouts, 'Hello Rex!' and I'm like, 'Are you kidding me? Shut up!' He's so loud!

"When I was in labour, they went to break my waters and he turned around and faced the wall because he couldn't look. Which is fine, I didn't really want him to see it anyway. I was like, 'Joe, you are not making this any easier.'

Now Rex is a little bit older and Stacey has stopped breastfeeding, looking after Rex has become more "equal" for his parents.

She told Britain's OK! magazine: "It was very difficult in the beginning because I was breastfeeding so it's hard to be 50/50.

"Now it's becoming a bit more equal. I do most of the nights but Joe's still a great dad - he always wants to be there and runs the rest of the house. That to me is 50/50.

"And the couple are currently too "exhausted" to enjoy a date away from the kids, including Joe's 11-year-old son Harry.

She said: "I don't really want to leave Rex. Some people love to get their independence back quickly but I worry this will be my last child so I want to enjoy it and soak it all in as much as possible."

Also, quite frankly, we're exhausted, so neither of us have made the effort to go on a date."We did go into the garden the other night to have a mini date night, we both had dinner and Joe had a glass of wine while we could see the baby through the door."
