New mum feeling 'insecure' about adult nappies left in stitches at husband's show of support

Becoming a first-time mum can be scary, especially when it comes to the ways in which the body recovers from the stresses of childbirth.

But one mum managed to ease her worries with the help of her husband, after he showed his support by making sure she wasn’t alone in her recovery.

Patrick Chase Champi and his wife welcomed their baby daughter into the world in early June, and the mum needed to wear adult nappies for some time afterwards while healing.

And after saying she was feeling “insecure” about wearing them, Patrick stepped up to help his wife feel at ease by buying adult nappies of his own to wear in solidarity.

In a TikTok video, Patrick struts out of the bedroom and strikes a pose in the postpartum underwear.

He then heads to the kitchen and pours himself a glass of wine while giving his wife a wink, and continues to exude confidence in the nappy while serving dinner.

Text on the video reads: “When you tell your husband you’re insecure about having to wear diapers after birth…”

The video has been viewed more than five million times and people can’t stop praising the “motivational” and “inspiring” husband.

One user wrote: “He’s an awesome husband for doing it yet alone making this go public.”

And a second added: “Very supportive motivational inspiring lol the whole works.”

While a third said: “Marrying him was definitely the right decision if you had doubts before.”

Since their daughter’s birth, the couple have continued to document their lives as first-time parents on their TikTok account, and have attracted hundreds of comments from people congratulating them on their new arrival.

On a clip introducing their daughter, one person said: “Wait she's here? Holy cow congratulations to you and the misses.”

And another said: “Stop it! She’s so beautiful.”
