A new mum was diagnosed with incurable cancer six weeks after giving birth.
Andrea Kevill-Davies' ongoing pain was first thought to be kidney stones and treatment was deemed too dangerous while she was carrying daughter Daisy.
Heartbreakingly, the shadows on the mum's bladder turned out to be tumours.
Diane Spooner, the 43-year-old's sister-in-law, said the diagnosis was "devastating".
The 56-year-old told TeesideLive : "The decision was made to deliver her baby as quickly as possible so she could have a biopsy.
"Daisy was born on September 16 this year and Andrea underwent a biopsy just after Daisy was born with Down Syndrome.

"As a childminder Andrea knew exactly how to care for her new daughter as she had past experience with children she'd looked after."
The news also came a week after Andrea buried her father-in-law
A GoFundMe has been created by her friends to help raise money for the family.
Diane added: "Andrea Whatsapped me last Wednesday saying it wasn't good news and she was finding out more.
"She messaged half an hour later saying she had incurable cancer and was starting chemotherapy immediately.
"It's just devastating, we only buried my father-in-law the week before and now this.
"She's had to pack in her job as a childminder whilst she has her treatment and I hope to care for her as much as I did when I was caring for my father-in-law."
"Andrea's eldest son Connor was stationed in Cyprus in the army and has now left so he can help with his Mam and the family."
