Kill Bill: The Whole Bloody Affair

What’s it about?
A female assassin seeks revenge on her former lover and squad members, all of whom left her for dead.
Why watch it?
In the 2006 Cannes version, the anime sequence is slightly longer with more gore. This version of the anime sequence was also released in the Japanese version of “Kill Bill Vol. 1” but not other domestic or international versions. But in the new December 2025 version, the anime sequence contains a never-before-seen scene where a 13-year-old O-Ren attacks the swordsman who killed her father in an elevator.

On the evening of a total eclipse of the moon, seven close friends gather for a dinner party. Early in the meal, one of the friends, a relationship therapist, says that she is convinced that many couples would separate if they saw the messages on each other's phones. As the friends debate this contention, they agree — some of them reluctantly — to play a game. They will each place their phone on the table and share their messages and calls with the rest of the group. At first, the game seems harmless; no one has anything to hide. Gradually, the calls and messages become more compromising. As the calls continue, the network of lies and secrets becomes increasingly tangled. Almost no one at the table is spared.

A warm and intimate evening turned into a series of shocking secrets and strained relationships. It is inspired by the Italian film Perfect Strangers.
