It’s been an interesting time for Central Michigan. Just when it seemed like the team turned a corner with a stunning win over Eastern Michigan, it lost QB David Moore after being tested positive for a banned substance.
Returning is Quinten Dormady, the starter who got banged up in the loss to Wisconsin. Now he gets to have the fun of rolling through a New Mexico State defense that isn’t slowing down anyone’s passing game.
The Aggies’ real problem continues to be turnovers. They’re dead last in the nation in turnover margin at a -14, but they might catch a wee bit of a break against a CMU team that likes to give the ball away a bit.
The Chippewa defense is great at getting behind the line and forcing mistakes, the secondary will come up with three picks, and it’ll be a relatively easy second half after a dogfight in the first.
