New Mexican restaurant Pina Loca opening in Wirral serving small plates and cocktails

A new restaurant is opening in Wirral later this year specialising in Mexican cuisine.

Pina Loca, meaning “crazy pineapple”, is coming to Bromborough and will be based on Allport Lane.

The restaurant plans to bring “a slice of Latin flare” to the town and will serve classic Mexican dishes, small plates and will offer an extensive wine and cocktail menu.

Pina Loca is the creation of Babul Miah, a member of the family who own Karma Indian Food in West Kirby.

Babul said: “I’m so excited to get the doors open and show Bromborough and the surrounding areas what we have to offer. The warm welcome we have received from the local community is amazing, we already feel part of the family and haven’t even opened the doors yet.

“The whole team has been working really hard for months to perfect our dishes and make sure that our drinks menu really hits the spot. We hope to open later this month if all goes to plan.”

Pina Loca is looking for chefs, bartenders and waiting on staff. If you’d like to apply, send your CV to careers@pinaloca.co.uk.

Pina Loca will be based on Allport Lane in Bromborough at the site which previously housed McColl’s convenience store and Dillons Newsagents.
