A restaurant serving authentic Mediterranean cuisine has opened in Fishponds.
The Olive Tree has replaced the Anfora mezze bar in Fishponds Road, which closed at the beginning of the lockdown in March.
Diners can expect to find a range of hot and cold mezze dishes and classic Mediterranean options such as moussaka, lamb kleftico and chicken or lamb shish.
Mezze options on the menu include falafel, houmous, calamari and mixed olives.
The reasonably-priced restaurant is headed up by an experienced restaurateur named Eric, who has operated restaurants across England and Cyprus for the past 25 years.
"I felt like the road needed something different which is why I wanted to open my latest restaurant here," said the 42-year-old.
"It's a really good location and we've been getting busier and busier each day since we opened.
"We've got a very experienced chef heading up the kitchen who is rustling up traditional Mediterranean cuisine.

"We're also serving a great range of cocktails as well as a few Mediterranean beers and wines.
"There's no denying opening a restaurant is a bit of a gamble in these challenging times, but the response has been really positive so far.
"I love seeing the smiles on the faces of guests as they enjoy the food and ambiance of the restaurant."
Eric said he is "really pleased we've been able to create jobs at a time when lots of businesses are closing".
The Olive Tree, which is located at 773 Fishponds Road, BS16 3BS is offering a discount on food for NHS workers and students.
