New Meadow Lane scoreboards should be ready for Chesterfield game

New scoreboards on Meadow Lane's Air-IT Kop and Haydn Green Family stands are set to make their debuts in Notts County's National League
clash with Chesterfield on February 1.

The defunct old scoreboard has now been removed, allowing contractors to begin work on the frames which will hold the new screens.

Magpies' chief executive, Jason Turner, said: "A big thank you to the Notts County Supporters’ Club, who’ve covered the costs of the plant
hire to allow for these essential works to take place.

"All being well, both scoreboards should be fully operational in time for the Chesterfield match.

"Not only will they greatly improve the match-day experience at Meadow Lane, they’ll also help us generate extra revenue through advertising
and help us communicate key messages to fans.

"The screens were paid for by the amazing fundraising efforts of our Official Supporters Association and Lifeline, whose continued backing
is hugely appreciated."

Turner has also welcomed the signing of a new long-term contract with kit supplier Puma.

Notts and Puma first teamed up in 2017-18 and the partnership will continue "for the foreseeable future".

Turner said: “Unlike many of their competitors, they offer us the opportunity to design bespoke home and away kits, which help us preserve our unique brand.

“The board has already worked to design next season’s home and away kits, which we look forward to sharing with supporters in the summer.”

Russell Thomas, head of sales at Puma teamwear, said: "We are delighted to extend our relationship with Notts County and look forward to working closely together to continue to provide both the players and supporters with fantastic products over the coming seasons."
