New manufacturing base for Derby liquid health supplements firm

Work has started on brand new state-of-the-art production facility for a Derby firm which develops and manufactures liquid health supplements.

DSP (Interiors) has started work on fitting out a commercial unit at Eagle Park, in Alfreton Road, which will eventually be occupied by Nutrivitality.

Nutrivitality is a subsidiary of SureScreen Diagnostics, a long-standing expert and provider of drug and alcohol screening in the UK and Europe.

Founded in 2016, Nutrivitality has seen the popularity of its products grow, which has led to the decision to expand its production facilities.

The business currently operates from premises in Prime Parkway. The new facility at Eagle Park will allow the firm to produce 250,000 bottles of its liquid nutritional supplements a day.

In a statement, Nutrivitality said: “Orders for our product range keep increasing as the wider market is becoming more aware of the benefits of liquid supplements. In recent months demand has increased significantly.

“So, our production needs to scale swiftly, but rest assured we will still conform to our strict production values and quality systems.”

Eagle Park is a new business park built on the former Draka Cables site created by Ivygrove Developments.

In the past, DSP, which is based at the Parker Centre, in Mansfield Road, Derby, has carried out work for other new Eagle Park tenants, including Robinson Structures.

In terms of the fit out the Nutrivitality premises, DSP has worked closely with the firm to come up with a design, which includes a large mezzanine floor, production facility, amenities and full mechanical and electrical install.

Alastair Campbell, who is a director at Nutrivitality, said: “From our initial meetings right through to final proposals DSP impressed.

“Their enthusiasm for the project was infectious and very early on we knew we’d found the right partner for our build.”

An example of the products Nutrivitality makes include SkinGlo, a drinkable, collagen-based supplement.

Launched in October, the firm claims it claims can help reverse the appearance of fine lines, restore volume to skin and give a brighter appearance to complexions for both men and women.

According to Nutrivitality, its SkinGlo product can replenish skin “from within” as opposed to only targeting its outside appearance, resulting in a more hydrated, stronger and youthful looking skin, without the need for expensive creams or invasive injections.

The product - and others like it - have proven popular, resulting in the firm growing its workforce with the addition of 10 new members of staff.

Director David Campbell said: “We’ve always believed that the future success of our organisation lies in our people.

“We’re delighted to be bringing in new talent to help us take the business to the next level.”
