New Manchester United training pictures: Bruno Fernandes, Rashford and Martial hard at work after key results

Manchester United are preparing for a huge game against Southampton now knowing that Champions League qualification is in their own hands.

United have been in superb form since the restart, picking up 13 points from a possible 15 to close in on Chelsea and Leicester City in the race for a Premier League top-four finish.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's side were hard at work at Carrington as Bruno Fernandes hit the training pitch after celebrating his second successive Premier League Player of the Month award.

Solskjaer's attack has been in fine form, with Marcus Rashford, Anthony Martial and Mason Greenwood all likely to start once again on Monday night on a day which could have serious ramifications at the top of the Premier League.

Manchester City will learn of CAS' decision regarding their appeal against Uefa's Champions League ban on Monday morning, which will have an impact on the race for European football.

Should City's ban stand, then fifth place - which United currently occupy - will earn a place in next season's Champions League qualifying rounds.

However, should CAS exonerate City - who sit second - then it will be business as usual for the top four.

A top-four finish had looked a long way off for United when the season restarted, but the indifferent form of both Chelsea and Leicester has allowed the Red Devils to close the gap.

Chelsea's 3-0 defeat at Sheffield United on Saturday leaves them on 60 points after 35 games, and United - on 58 - will leapfrog them if they win their game in hand against Southampton on Monday night.

The pressure is therefore on United against an in-form Southampton outfit, but Solskjaer's men will be favourites at Old Trafford.

With Chelsea still due to play Liverpool and Wolves, and Leicester hosting United on the final day of the season, the race for Champions League football will likely go down to the wire regardless on Monday night's result.
