New management win for Burley Browne

Property consultancy Burley Browne has been instructed to provide a full management service for an office building which recently changed hands in a seven-figure deal.

The new owner of Forster House, in Walsall, has appointed the Sutton Coldfield-based company to handle rent collection, liaison with tenants, deal with property and lease related matters, maintenance of buildings and administration of service charges.

The four-storey Forster House is in Hatherton Road and is mostly leased to recruitment agency Extra Personnel. The property includes ground floor retail space.

Faryal Sheikh, senior surveyor at Burley Browne, said: "Forster House was recently acquired by a private investor and we are delighted that they have instructed us to handle all property matters on a full management service.

"Our new client is very eager to increase their portfolio substantially over the next five years and we will work closely with them to identify investment opportunities suited to their requirements."

James Merrick, director and head of lease advisory and professional services at Burley Browne, added: "Our property management function has grown substantially over the last two years and now includes a property accounting function managing over 385,818sq ft of property assets across all sectors and dealing with a rent roll in excess of £2.6 million."
