New management team appointed to operate M50 toll system

A new management team has been appointed to operate the M50 toll system by Transport Infrastructure Ireland.

Turas Mobility Services is a joint venture established by Abtran and VINCI Highways.

They will be taking over the toll system as well as customer services through the eFlow platform.

The transition will take place over an 18-month period until early 2021.

Transport Infrastructure Ireland’s Cathal Masterson said the new management are “very experienced operators with a strong track record of delivery in systems and customer service”.

He added: “This tolling contract will safeguard the collection of toll revenues on the M50 and the continued investment of this revenue stream in the national road network.”

The contract has been awarded initially to 2031 with the possibility of an extension until 2035.
