New Man Utd star Daniel James leaves fitness gurus stunned as latest training video released

Their CV of putting football stars through their paces reads like the Who's Who of the round-ball game.

Fabio Cannavaro, Rio Ferdinand, David Luiz and Welsh superstar Gareth Bale are just four A-list footballers to have been knocked into physical shape for a stamina-sapping season in the professional game.

And now Manchester United new boy Daniel James can add his name to the list of players to have undergone the punishing fitness regime devised by Dubai-based Kaizen 3 Performance.

The former Swansea City star reported for training at Man United's Carrington base on Monday in peak physical shape for the Premier Season ahead following his performances with Wales in the European qualifiers and a gruelling fitness camp in the United Arab Emirates.

The 21-year-old chose to head to the training camp, in the shadows of the iconic Burj Al Arab hotel on Jumeirah Beach, of his own accord following his £18m move from the Liberty Stadium to Old Trafford this summer.

And K3P football technician Dan Edwards merely confirmed what football's known for some time now, by admitting the four-times capped left-winger is by far and away the most exciting player that they have worked with.

He told the Mail Online: "We've worked with so many players that have potential but just want to rely on their ability.

"Whereas he's got the mentality and the attitude to go where he wants to. He's already fit from being with Wales. He's sharp. We could tell from the first session.

"He contacted us himself, it wasn't through an agent, it wasn't through Manchester United, he obviously wants to improve and be as sharp as possible for when he joins United.

"For a player to want to do that - when it's normally agents that will contact us - it speaks for itself."

James spent a week being put under the pump by professional coach Edwards and sports science specialist John Phillips.

And they gave a glimpse of the week-long schedule James completed with sessions often starting at 7.30am.

Edwards, added: "Someone like Daniel James who was fit already, because he'd been competing in (European) qualifiers, wants to be pushed and wants to start at United on his front foot, one step ahead."
