Manchester City have raised the stakes after announcing they have landed a mega £65 million per year kit deal with Puma.
After securing the second largest deal in Premier League history, City are now competing at the highest level both on and off the pitch.
And whilst City continue to push Liverpool in their title defence, chief executive Ferran Soriano has described their latest move off the pitch as “unprecedented.”
“It is a historic day for us,” Soriano said. “What we are doing has not been done before. It is an unprecedented partnership.
“We now have seven clubs in five continents. We needed a partner that can move fast with us.”
City’s Puma deal should aid their chances of pushing big-money deals without the fear of FFP sanctions.
