New lollipop men and women wanted by Glasgow City Council with schools reopening next week

Glasgow City Council has launched a search for new lollipop men and women prior to the schools returning next week.

The vacancies are among a number of positions the Council is looking to fill - alongside that or caterers and cleaners who are needed to work in some of Glasgow's most iconic buildings such as museums as well as in schools and residential care homes.

School Crossing Patrollers (colloquially known as lollipop man/woman) have to adhere to road safety regulations in delivering a vital service to members of the public in their local community.

At the moment, there are currently 350 designated crossing patrols throughout the city.

Full training will be provided.
