Homes were evacuated as police dealt with a hoax device left on a North Belfast street on Monday.
Police closed off Lepper Street in New Lodge as they examined the suspicious object. It was later declared a hoax.
Inspector Sayers said: “Police would like to thank the local community for their patience and support while police worked to make the area safe.

“Police are appealing for anyone who has any information that can assist with their investigation to contact officers in Tennent Street Police Station on 101 quoting reference 525 06/05/19.
“Alternatively information can be passed to the independent charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 which is 100% anonymous and gives people the power to speak up and stop crime.”
