Prescot has welcomed a brand new pizza restaurant - and it’s already selling out.
The Oven Pizzeria, which is based on Eccleston Street, launched just two weeks ago and its owners say it is very popular with the locals.
The restaurant specialises in Neapolitan-style pizza, serving up everything from classic Margherita to the tangy Texas BBQ.
The Oven Pizzeria is run by partners Anthony Dean and Victoria Lafferty, and uses a special pizza oven imported from Naples to prepare fresh, authentic pizzas using quality Italian ingredients.

Anthony said: “We are local to the area, both me and Vik, so opening a restaurant and bringing this type of pizza to the area was exciting but also a nervous time us both, never knowing what to expect from the locals.
“The area is in a re-generation phase with the Shakespeare Theatre opening in 18 months or so and we are in a prime position only being 100 yards from the entrance.

“We are providing a Neapolitan style pizza using quality Italian ingredients - the oven was even imported from Naples and Vik has used her eye for interior design to add a bit of class.”
The restaurant is decorated in a Graffiti, street art-style decor, with retro booths and tables, and is even hosting a special event with renowned pizza chef Marco Fuso on July 4.
The restaurant revelaed on Instagram that it has been selling out of pizza frequently, in a post that read: "We have sold out againnnnnn! Guys book to avoid disappointment!".
The Oven Pizzeria is open from 11:30am - 10pm Wednesday to Sunday.
