A new bar and restaurant coming to Liverpool ONE has confirmed when its doors will open.
Contemporary South East Asian-inspired restaurant and bar, Mamasan, will arrive at Liverpool ONE in May, once lockdown restrictions have eased further.
Based inside the former Wahaca on College Lane, Mamasan will span three floors and feature striking interiors, DJ performances, vibrant culinary offering and an expansive panoramic roof terrace.
The restaurant has now confirmed it will open on Monday, May 17, which is the date given by the Government’s roadmap for the reopening on indoor hospitality.
Mamasan's launch at Liverpool ONE will mark the brand's second opening, after experiencing success with its debut spot in Glasgow.
It was founded by Brad Stevens, the creator of culinary concepts Bar Soba and Pizza Punks.
The restaurant will seat 200 and feature a monochromatic design for the ground level dining space, complete with relaxed booths, marble topped tables and open timber-framed kitchen.
A floating staircase will lead up to a mezzanine floor which will be home to private dining spaces and there will also be a rooftop bar that will allow for seamless indoor and outdoor dining and drinking.
Mamasan is well known for its fresh and authentic style of cooking, with all core elements of each dish created in-house and made from scratch.
Signature dishes on the menu include everything from Thai Prawn & Chicken Taco, Singapore Crab Fried Rice, and Black Miso Cod with pickled radish and ginger.
Brad Stevens, founder of Mamasan, said: “Mamasan is a unique concept, which we launched successfully in Glasgow, despite opening in the midst of a global pandemic.

“The location of Mamasan Liverpool couldn’t be better, we are in the heart of the city at Liverpool ONE. And when the time is right, we will be announcing our in-house dining events and live music takeovers to the city and beyond."
Mamasan will open every day of the week, from early brunching to late night dining and dancing.
