A huge new hotel is opening in the heart of Liverpool this summer, with a rooftop sky bar, gym, restaurant and panoramic views.
The long awaited four star hotel INNSiDE by hotel chain Melia is based on Old Hall Street , inside the iconic former Liverpool ECHO offices after its staff moved over the road to new city centre offices in St Paul's Square.
Now, after several delays due to the coronavirus pandemic, INNSiDE has an opening date - August 16, 2021.
Following more than three years of extensive redevelopment, parts of the pre-existing site have been preserved, while other ‘smart touches’ aim to ensure an “exceptional experience” for guests.
The hotel will feature an open plan lobby for guests to meet, mingle and unwind before enjoying a meal in the 140-capacity restaurant and a 24-hour fitness gym, with state-of-the-art technology.
The 18th floor will also feature a 360-degree sky bar, which will offer panoramic views over Liverpool and the River Mersey, and will see performances from resident DJs.
The hotel promises to accommodate each guest’s “every need and desire”, providing them with a home away from home, offering the ideal work life balance.
For business travellers, the hotel will offer seven adaptable meeting rooms including the Big Idea Space alongside other rooms such as The News Room, The Printing Press and The Post Room; a nod to the building’s history.
There will also be a dedicated events floor with capacity for more than 340 people and separate catering breakout for those wanting to host large scale gatherings.
Each space will also feature floor to ceiling windows, natural air flow and integrated audio-visual equipment.
Suites at INNSiDE will feature high-speed Wi-Fi, Chromecasts, and in-room mini fridges. The 207 rooms will vary featuring a large number of upgraded rooms for special occasions including 25 upgraded Studio Rooms, 26 Townhouse Suites and 1 Condo Suite featuring separate bedroom, living space and dining area.

INNSiDE Liverpool will be offering 30% off the best available rates for a limited time only as part of the launch phase with rooms available from £59 per night.
As part of Meliá Hotels International, INNSiDE Liverpool will operate the global ‘Stay Safe With Meliá’ programme across the hotel, including measures to prioritise guest and staff safety during Covid-19.
The new hotel will open on August 16, 2021.
