New Lidl store to open at Castle Marina Retail Park

Budget supermarket Lidl is opening up a new store at the Castle Marina Retail Park, it has emerged.

Fit-out work is currently taking place inside the former PC World store to create the new shop.

The unit has been split in two, with PureGym also moving in.

A timescale for when the shop will open is not yet known but signs have now gone up around the site.

In January Lidl and rival supermarket Aldi announced their expansion plans for the next few years which included new shops in areas such as Gamston, Clifton and West Bridgford. The Castle marina store was not listed as part of those plans.

Work was reported to be nearing at a new Lidl store in Mansfield Woodhouse which was 23,000 sq ft and would create 50 jobs.
