New Leeds Aldi to give away free food and exclusive deals to customers at grand opening

A new Aldi is set to open in east Leeds tomorrow morning and customers will be able to pick up bargain deals and free food.

The budget supermarket on Carlton Lane, in Rothwell, will open for the very first time at 8am on Thursday, July 4 and there are exclusive offers for the first 30 people through the doors.

There are likely to be queues from early on, with Aldi handing out free bags of fruit and veg to the first 30 people who venture inside - and there will also be a number of a exclusive deals running throughout the day.

The Rothwell store will be open from 8am until 9pm from Monday to Saturday, and 10am until 4pm on Sundays. It will also be open from 8am until 8pm on bank holidays.

Store manager Phil Wilkinson will be joined by Team GB Olympic cyclist Callum Skinner to officially open the store at 8am.

The Rothwell opening is all part of a huge push by the budget supermarket chain, which will have opened eight new stores in Yorkshire alone by the end of 2019, including one in Yeadon.
