New 'leaked' images of bold Tottenham 2021/22 away shirt emerge as Nike go for different design

Tottenham fans shouldn't have to wait too much longer for the club to officially unveil their brand new away shirt for the 2021/22 campaign.

With a number of Nuno Espirito Santo's first team now back at Hotspur Way to begin their pre-season training ahead of next month's opener against Man City, the Lilywhites will actually be in action next Saturday as they make the short trip to Leyton Orient.

Friendlies away at Colchester United and MK Dons then follow, with Spurs taking part in a mini pre-season tournament with London rivals Arsenal and Chelsea at the start of August.

Having released their new home shirt at the end of May, Tottenham will no doubt be required to play in their new away kit as Colchester traditionally play in blue and white stripes and MK Dons' home shirt is white.

A number of 'leaked' photos of their away and third kits have been doing the rounds on social media over the past couple of months, with those images showcasing rather bold and striking designs from Nike.

As kit suppliers are now a bit more daring and will happily give their respective clubs eye-catching shirts, the American sportswear giant have opted for a new colour known as "wild berry" for the third shirt with the top also featuring a pale yellow colour in parts.

Rather than go for a classic design for their away kit given how bold the new third shirt appears to be, Nike have again opted for a design that will no doubt divide the opinion of fans.

Popular website Footy Headlines have now uploaded new images of the away kit after it was spotted on sale in Australia by one of their followers.

The base of the shirt is black and it features a colourful all-over print that includes different shades of blue and orange as well as various other colours.

Nike have then elected to go with "venom green" logos to make their logo, club crest and AIA sponsor really stand out.

It's certainly different and not something the club have ever had before in terms of their away shirts.

The latest photos from Footy Headlines show the shirt on sale in the shops with the required Nike tags on, with what then appears to be Chelsea's new home and away shirts on sale just behind them.

Juventus' new home top can also be seen in the background, with the Italian side's latest design officially going on sale last month.

If the 'leaked' images do indeed appear to be legitimate, the rather bold kit design will certainly be a big talking point amongst the club's fanbase.

Spurs are likely to have to wear either their new away or third kit jersey early on in the season with the team participating in the Europa Conference League play-off round at the end of August.
