The new Labour family is coming together, Alastair Campbell said in an interview with the New Statesman today.
Tony Blair's former king of spin, who has always denied being behind the claim that Gordon Brown is "psychologically flawed", praised the prime minister's decision to recall Peter Mandelson and Margaret Beckett to the cabinet.
"We are now seeing the authentic Gordon Brown: a serious man for serious times, the man who understands the world economy and can build world alliances," says Campbell.
Brown's biggest challenge now is seeing how long this New Labour family alliance can hold.
