New Kilmarnock signing Daniel MacKay eyes league title as Hibernian youngster opens up on 'good opportunity'

Manager Derek McInnes's first Kilmarnock signing has put pen to paper.

Daniel MacKay has joined on loan from cinch Premiership side Hibernian – and the Scotland Under-21s winger comes to Ayrshire with bags of potential.

He will be eligible to play against Partick Thistle tomorrow night and he will wear the No 30 jersey.

MacKay bagged his first Hibs goal in the Europa Conference League qualifiers and also featured against Killie in the late stages of the League Cup game at Easter Road earlier this season.

He also made his Scotland Under-21s debut in June against Northern Ireland before winning a second cap against Turkey in September.

He told Killie's website: “It’s a good opportunity for me to come to Kilmarnock with the goal of winning the league and hopefully I can help the team do that.

“I’m happy that the manager was keen to bring me in and I can’t wait to get started now. I’m direct, quick and can score goals as well so hopefully I have all the ingredients to show the fans that I can do well on the park.”
