Crosby's answer to Just Eat has seen a huge response from the community with thousands of downloads in just a few months.
The Crosby Eats app is the brainchild of Andrew Hines, who is a licensed mariner by trade, and was made redundant during the coronavirus pandemic.
Wanting to try something new, as well as being keen to support local businesses, Andrew saw an opportunity to give people living locally a better selection of takeaways.
Andrew told the ECHO: "It's a 'new way to takeaway', as I call it.
"We have around 30 local takeaways on the app, with more signing up in the near future.
"We charge a minimal commission rate on orders and most of the profits go back into advertising South Sefton takeaways, as well as helping local charitable causes."
Since its launch in November 2020, Crosby Eats has donated selection boxes, at Christmas, and more recently Easter Eggs to the local food bank.
The app, he says, also promotes health by giving you the option to add-on free fruit bags for children.
Andrew says he is keen to do more for other causes in the future and is keen to see how the team can further help the community.
He continued: "Food businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic, and many of us are trying to save money too.
"The idea for the app is that it saves people money while promoting our local restaurants and takeaways at the same time."
Crosby Eats covers parts of Waterloo and Seaforth, as well as the town it's named after.
