Jimmy's Liverpool team have announced the headline opening act for the hotly-anticipated launch night of the new venue.
Opening in the former Cabin Club, the new gig venue will see The Coral perform a homecoming gig on the opening night of Thursday, August 1.
The Merseyside music veterans will take to the stage to christen the new underground gig venue.
Brothers and business partners, Jimmy and George Craig own the three-floor venue and have already confirmed a line up for the coming weeks.
Jimmy said: "George and I have been regulars on the music scene since we were teenagers and we’re both huge fans of The Coral.
"We are thrilled to have them with us to open the new Liverpool venue at what looks to be one of the city’s most anticipated events.
"The band themselves have been so influential to us and are just one of the many local artists that have made us feel right at home here in Liverpool with all of their support."
The city bar will be the sister venue to much-loved Jimmy’s Manchester.
Jimmy’s has become a firm favourite on the live-music thanks to bagging big-name gig listings.
