No Time To Die trailer: First look at new James Bond movie starring Daniel Craig

The first trailer for No Time To Die has been revealed, with Daniel Craig returning as James Bond for the fifth time.

Craig is joined by Rami Malek as new villain Safin and Ana De Armas as Paloma. They’re accompanied by the returning Lea Seydoux, Ralph Fiennes and Jeffrey Wright as Madeleine Swann, M and Felix Leiter respectively.

The new film is rumoured to focus on genetic engineering, with Bond coming out of retirement to take on a new case in Jamaica.

Judging from the new clip, the film looks to focus heavily on Bond’s relationship with Seydoux’s Madeleine Swann. We see the pair drive in Bond’s iconic Aston Martin DB5, with the agent saying “we all have our secrets, we just didn’t get to yours yet,” before jumping dramatically from a bridge.

Despite withdrawing from duty following the incident, he returns after being asked a "favour" by American ally Felix Leiter.

Later in the clip, we meet new double-O agent Nomi played by Lashana Lynch. Nomi warns Bond that “the world's moved on,” before saying: “You get in my way, I will put a bullet in your knee – the one that works.”

Bond returns to MI6, where he is reunited with Ben Whishaw's Q and Christoph Waltz’s Blofeld, who warns him that Swann’s “secret” could be the death of him.

Finally, fans are given a first glimpse of Malik’s villain Safin, who is seen with a white mask covering parts of his face.

“Your skills die with your body. Mine will survive long after I’m gone,” Safin tells Bond. “History isn’t kind to men who play God,” he replies.

No Time to Die is directed by Cary Joji Fukunaga, known for his work on True Detective, Beasts of No Nation and Jane Eyre.

The film's script has gone through various incarnations, with Fleabag and Killing Eve writer Phoebe Waller-Bridge brought on board to rework it at the start of the year.

No Time To Die is released in the UK on April 3.
