New Italian restaurant to open in Finnieston next week

Calling all pasta lovers - we have some news that will make hump day just a little bit more bearable.

Who doesn't love Italian carbs? From doughy pizza crust to creamy bresola and pasta dishes slick with salt water...it's safe to say Italian chefs know how to get our hearts racing.

Enter Pellegrini- the new Italian restaurant launching in Finnieston next week.

It’s from the team behind The Italian Club, The Italian Club Fish, The Italian Club Bakery and The Club Sandwich Edinburgh, who are aiming to bring authentic mediterranean dishes to Glasgow's trendiest road.

Moving into the property once occupied by Panevino at 1075 Argyle Street, the space has undergone a complete refurbishment with a change in layout and new interior inspired by the bright colours of southern Italy.

Owner Rosaria Crolla said:  "We want to provide classic Italian cooking with a focus on the regionality of Italian food and the influences of the regions that our family hail from.

"My family from Lazio and my executive chef husband, Maurizio Pellegrini, is a Milan born chef who grew up in Puglia.

"He has worked all over Italy, cooked for the Ferrari team in Shanghai and was part of the first brigade to achieve a Michelin star for Italian food in the UK, under Chef Stefano Cavallini at the Halkyn hotel in London."

Stayed tuned for all the updates as we get them, folks!
