Liverpool’s much-anticipated Irish music festival, Feis, was cancelled yesterday due to lack of ticket sales - but now guests will have somewhere new to go.
Grand Central on Renshaw Street has announced that “all is not lost for the Irish festival”, and that the venue would be hosting another incarnation of the event - Liverpool Fleadh.
Ryan Edwards, operations director of Grand Central Hall said: “We have spoken to Vince Power and he is very supportive of what we are doing.
“A lot of the same acts are moving over to this event with more and more additions coming in over the next few weeks.
“For example another two have just been added, Aslan and Dubliners.

“We are not honouring tickets as it’s a new event through us, but we know the old festival are giving refunds.”
Acts confirmed for the new event include Nathan Carter, The Fureys, Hermitage Green, Conleth McGreary, and Mary Coughlan, with many more to be announced.
Liverpool Fleadh will take place at Grand Central on Saturday, July 6 from 1pm.
Tickets are available now via Eventbrite , starting from £35 for standing and £45 for seating.
