Hamilton bar, Westfield Kotara stores added to Hunter COVID-19 exposure sites

HUNTER New England Health has added a Hamilton bar and two Westfield Kotara stores to its list of COVID-19 exposure sites.

Anyone who attended the Corset Bar and Supper Club in Hamilton on July 28 from 7.30pm to 10pm is considered a close contact. They must get tested and isolate for 14 days.

Westfield Kotara has joined Charlestown Square on the list of exposure sites, with people who were at Kmart on July 28 between 3.40pm and 3.50pm and JD Sports between 3.30pm and 3.40pm now considered casual contacts.

They must get tested and isolate until a negative test is received.

EARLIER: Hunter NEW England Health has received new information that has changed the status of anyone who visited Charlestown Square on July 29 from 3pm to 6pm.

People who were anywhere in the shopping centre during these times are casual contacts and must get tested and isolate until they receive a negative result.

Anyone who visited the below stores at the outlined times are now considered close contacts.

You must get tested and isolate for 14 days, or awaiting further advice from NSW Health:

Apple Store, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 3.10pm to 3.50pm

Boost Juice, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 3.52pm to 3.56pm

Cotton On, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 3.57pm to 3.58pm

Jay Jays, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 3.58pm to 4.13pm, and 4.54pm to 4.59pm

Priceline Pharmacy, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 4.20pm to 4.25pm

Glassons, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 4.26pm to 4.41pm

Supre, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 4.43pm to 4.53pm

Factorie, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 5.02pm to 5.08pm

Charlestown Square Food Court (Guzman y Gomez and McDonalds) on 29 July from 5.09pm to 5.44pm

Ground Level Newsagency, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 3.16pm to 3.22pm, and 4.18pm to 4.24pm

Pearl Nails, Charlestown Square on 29 July from 3.23pm to 4.18pm

Hunter New England Health had previously said that visitors to the Charlestown Square stores were only considered casual contacts.

Anyone who attended the following venues on the specified dates and times are also considered close contacts and are urged to get tested and isolate for 14 days:

HealthSure Medical Centre, Jesmond on 2 August from 3.20pm to 3.55pm

Jump N Swim Academy, Thornton on Wednesday 4 August from 5pm to 5.30pm

Anyone who attended the below venues at the specified times are casual contacts and urged to get tested and isolate until a negative test result is received.

Target at Glendale shopping village on 1 August 2021 from 8.50am to 1.00pm

Jump N Swim Academy, Thornton on Wednesday 4 August 2021 from 4.30pm to 5pm

Priceline Pharmacy, Jesmond on 2 August from 4pm - 4.20pm

HNEH said "following further interrogation and contact tracing", the Auchmuty Library at the University of Newcastle is no longer a venue of concern, nor was it attended by a confirmed case.

More exposure sites may be announced as investigations continue.
