New 'hugely anticipated' KFC opens in Nottingham city centre

Fast-food giant KFC has opened a new restaurant in Nottingham's Long Row today.

The Colonel was there at the opening of the new fried chicken site - part of the former Habitat store - which has created 40 new jobs.

The restaurant will eventually be staying open until 4am on Fridays and Saturdays so late-night revellers can get a chicken fix but for now, it will be closing at 2am.

To celebrate, the restaurant will be donating £1,000 to The KFC Foundation, which supports Nottingham charities working to better the lives of young people in the area.

Nick Camborne-Player, KFC regional coach, said: "This has been a hugely anticipated new restaurant and it’s great to be granting the people of Nottingham’s wishes by bringing the Colonel to another part of town.

"I’m also pleased that we’re opening with a donation to the KFC Foundation which will give back to local charities who empower young people in our community.”

The new restaurant has Covid-safety measures in place including extended hygiene procedures, Perspex screens, gloves and designated kitchen zones. Face masks have been made available where required and contactless payment is encouraged.
