Plans to build housing on the former site of a Pelaw social club have been lodged with the council.
Tyneview Social Club called last orders for the final time in 2016 and was bulldozed in 2020.
Now, plans have been lodged to build 12 three-bedroom homes on the Fisherwell Road site.

Planning documents lodged with Gateshead Council stated that the plot is completely empty.
It said: “The site is currently a mix of tarmac surfaces, shrubs and crushed hardcore with a temporary metal fencing to the south elevation in between the trees.
“A brick wall with timber fence to the west, the north is currently open partially with a tree line rapping around the north east corner and all along the east boundary. ”
Each property will be assigned two parking spaces which will be in the middle of the development and have a landscaped garden to the rear.
The original application for the site was for 14 houses but that was “not seen to be in keeping with the residents character of the area”.
The document continued: ”A sketch proposal was provided from the urban design team which we took on board and reduced the proposed scheme to 12 three-bedroom dwellings that would fit more appropriately into the development site. the development solves all parking needs within the site and no on road parking is required.”
Gateshead Council is expected to decide on the application by the end of March.
