Nasa’s Pluto probe is entering a crucial stage in its flyby phase, with its New Horizons spacecraft expecting to gather pictures and scientific data of the dwarf planet, 5 billion kilometres away, on Tuesday.

We’d like to see your artwork of Pluto and the other planets, both as you have seen them and how you imagined they looked like before images emerged of them. Maybe you have vivid memories of a school trip to an observatory, or spending clear nights staring into a telescope? Whether you have drawn Pluto, captured the brightness of Venus and Jupiter, spotted Mercury at dawn or Saturn in the night sky, share your artwork and photographs of the planets with us. We’ll feature the best of them on the site.
