Further plans have been submitted to allow homes to be built on Liverpool’s most expensive road.
A site at Carnatic Road in south Liverpool is the subject of previously approved proposals from Kevin Crickett to build a block of flats.
Analysis earlier this year revealed that the road was the most expensive in the city for property purchases in 2020, with an average purchase price of more than £1m during that year.
A number of proposals have previously been submitted for the site at 5 Carnatic Road, which was home to a large property called Briarwood.
It sits between Carnatic Spa and Carnatic Court, with the development set to consist solely of two bedroom apartments of around 1,000sq ft each.
Briarwood was demolished a number of years ago and plans for a four storey building with 18 flats were approved in principle by Liverpool Council.
Mr Crickett has now submitted construction management plans for its proposals, which would also see a basement car park built as part of the development and balconies from some apartments looking out over the surrounding area.
The plan indicated that there are final elements of the proposals still to be finalised and said the final details around the construction of the new development would then be submitted to the council.
The plan said: “Once the building design is finalised and our logistical needs fully established, we will review these with Highways, and subsequently make the formal applications.
“Access into the site and accommodation compound will be via security operated at the site entrance.
“Approvals to realign the site entrance and install hoardings will be submitted and for approval by LCC Highways, scaffold access will remain within the confines of the site and not affect any of the adjacent highways.”
Before the current proposals, a separate and slightly different proposal was approved by the Planning Inspectorate on appeal after being rejected by the council.
