New homemade sushi collection point opens in Dennistoun

A brand new 'homemade sushi collect point' has arrived in Dennistoun, promising to serve up fresh, high quality Japanese food.

Sushi Blacksmith has been opened by chef Marcin Chudzik, who has been making sushi for over 12 years.

The delicious-looking sushi is available for pre-order only, with collection available from Westercraigs, just off Duke Street in Glasgow's east end.

As explained by Marcin on the Sushi Blacksmith website: "We are a small homemade sushi collection point in the heart of Dennistoun.

"This small business is running by myself (Marcin). I am an experienced sushi chef with more than 12 years of experience in sushi making. As a Japanese kitchen enthusiast my aim is to learn and improve everyday and be able to share my work with you.

"Why do you need to pre-order? Our sushi is homemade, and we put quality in the first place. High quality sushi requires a complex preparation process in advance. We want you to eat amazing sushi, please give us time to find fresh ingredients and prepare your food on the most traditional technique."

The menu includes various 'sushi sets' for differing numbers of people and lists the ordering times ahead of collections on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
