New home wanted for fun-loving Blue

Animal welfare experts are appealing to find a new home for Blue who is currently living at Dogs Trust’s West Calder Rehoming Centre.

Blue is a six-year-old lurcher and his carers say he is always searching for ways to have fun.

A spokesperson for Dogs Trust said: “This lively lurcher loves nothing more than running around the garden chasing after his favourite teddy bear.

“Blue is a very sweet and loyal pooch with people he knows, and trusts and he loves getting his family involved in games.

“He is house trained, loves setting off for walks around the countryside and he will happily jump into the car to seek out new adventures.

“Blue is a sensitive dog and can be worried around new people or in unfamiliar situations. He needs patient and understanding owners to take their time building up a loving bond with him.

“Blue’s new owners will need to have experience with nervous dogs and be able to provide him with a quiet, adult-only home in a rural area where he is the only pet at home.”

Blue would be happiest with owners who are home throughout the day to keep him company and can help settle him into his new routine.

If you think you can offer Blue or any of the other 50 dogs currently available for rehoming please contact the centre on 01506 873459.

You can also follow Dogs Trust West Calder on Twitter@DT_WestCalder for regular updates on events and dogs available for rehoming. Please look at the Dogs Trust website for access during the coronavirus outbreak.
