Animal welfare experts are appealing for a new home for Lewie, a three-year-old greyhound currently living at Dogs Trust West Calder.
They say he is an affectionate boy who enjoys spending time with the people he loves.
A spokeswoman for Dogs Trust said: “He loves to play and can often be found zooming around the garden chasing after his tennis ball.
“Lewie would like owners who are home most of the day to help him with settling into his new home. He can live with children aged 12 years and over.
“Lewie walks beautifully on lead, and he enjoys stopping to say hello to polite dogs he passes along the way.
“He would like his own garden with high fence where he can enjoy off lead time playing with his toys.
“Due to his breed Lewie does have an instinct to chase small furries but he is more than happy to wear his muzzle to go for a nice walk. Lewie is house trained and may be able to live with a similar-sized dog.”
