A new Trai Hume highlights reel has offered a slick reminder why Sunderland moved quickly to seal a reported £200,000 deal for the teenager.
Hume joined the Black Cats on a four and a half year deal - with the option of another year - from Irish League champions Linfield last week.
And the 19-year-old’s ability has been showcased in a new highlights video produced by analysts at the CAA Base agency.
Hume, who is represented by Belfast-based CAA agent Lee Mudd, scored six goals in 37 games on loan with hometown club Ballymena United last season.
The mobile right-back then starred for his parent club this season after returning to Linfield where he scored three goals in 31 appearances in all competitions.
The seven minute long production, which will undoubtedly whet the appetite of Sunderland fans, includes all of Hume’s nine goals for Ballymena and Linfield.
It includes his recent Big Two derby strike against Glentoran and also shines a spotlight on a number of his assists, his crossing prowess and ability to drive forward at pace with the ball.
Out of possession, the video also highlights Hume’s defensive positioning and his strength in defensive tussles and aerial duels.
The former Blues star became Sunderland’s first signing of the January transfer window and Black Cats boss Lee Johnson rates the defender highly.
"I like him a lot,” said Johnson. “I think he has some amazing attributes, and he is one for the future who can probably surprise us for the now.
"He has self-belief, he has focus, and he is a hungry kid."
