Calvin Miller targeted further personal progress and silverware after joining Hearts from Falkirk.
The former Celtic player has signed a three-year deal at Tynecastle after Falkirk accepted an undisclosed bid for the winger.
The 28-year-old scored nine goals for Falkirk last season and topped the William Hill Premiership assist charts with nine.
Miller told HeartsTV: “I’m buzzing. It’s been in a pipeline for a while, so I’m just glad that I’m finally here and getting the deal all signed.
“First of all, they’re a massive club and you’ve seen what they’ve done last season. Straight away everyone wants to be a part of that. So when I heard the interest was there, I was dying to make the move happen.
“And they’re playing in Europe this year as well, so I’d love to get myself in amongst that.
“Who doesn’t want to play in Europe? You get a chance in the Champions League qualifiers to then go and progress and, if not, then it’s Europa League and that’s a big stage.
“That’s where you can go and make a name for yourself and the club can go and make a name for itself as well and I’m just dying to get started.”

Miller was a key part of the Bairns’ rise from William Hill League 1 to a top-six finish in the Premiership.
The former Harrogate and Chesterfield player scored 32 goals and provided 37 assists in 132 games for Falkirk after arriving from Morton.
“I’m thankful to Falkirk because they essentially got my career back on track,” he said.
“The gaffer (John McGlynn) there, they helped me through thick and thin and every season was a success, so I’m hoping to just continue that success, that kind of form that I had at Falkirk and getting all the goals and assists and even some silverware.
“I hope to come here and try and achieve all that as well and proper progress.
“I always knew myself that I could play in the top flight and it was just about showing that. I think I did this season and that probably leads me to why I’m here today to sign with this massive club.”
A Falkirk statement read: “The club were approached by Heart of Midlothian and, following negotiations, an agreement was reached for a fee that suited all parties.
“Throughout those discussions it became clear that the move represented a significant opportunity for Calvin, and the club accepted his desire to take the next step in his career.
“Calvin departs The Falkirk Stadium as a modern Falkirk great, having played a major role in one of the most successful periods in the club’s history.”
