New head of flexible workspace at CBRE and more property appointments news

Property consultancy CBRE is expanding its flexible workplace service into the Midlands with the appointment of Daniel White to head up the new Birmingham team.

Mr White joins the firm from recruitment consultancy PropRec in the city where he specialised in the flexible property sector.

Prior to this, he developed his career as a senior consultant at OfficeBroker.com.

In his new role, he will be responsible for advising occupiers, investors and operators on their flexible office leasing and acquisition strategies, leveraging his knowledge of the sector and Midlands market.

It is estimated that, in Birmingham, around six per cent of the total available office stock is flexible.

Will Ventham, senior director and head of CBRE's Birmingham office agency team, said: "Having built a career in the sector in the Midlands, Daniel is perfectly equipped to support CBRE's already established flexible workplace team and broaden our geographical reach.

"Birmingham continues to experience increasing demand from both established and new entry serviced providers and this trend, coupled with an increasing appetite from SMEs in the Midlands, offers an enviable platform from which to grow our offer."

Living Space Housing has appointed Paul Breen as its new commercial manager.

Mr Breen will head up the commercial function of the Solihull-based business, both pre-and post-contract.

Living Space Housing is a development-led residential planning, design and construction services firm which launched to the market earlier this year.

Mr Breen joins from Shrewsbury-based RGB Group where he held the position of head of commercial for nearly three and a half years.

Property and asset consultancy firm Sanderson Weatherall has appointed Ben Hartley to join its Birmingham office as a partner and head of valuation services.

Mr Hartley joins the firm with 15 years of experience in the property industry, having previously worked as partner at Matthews and Goodman, as well as at BNP Paribas and Kennedy Wilson.

He also brings with him five years of experience working in the real estate team at HSBC.

Planning and development consultancy Turley has made a trio of senior promotions in its Birmingham office.

Damien Holdstock has been promoted to director while Hannah Keilloh and Ian Deverell have each been promoted to senior planner.

Mr Holdstock is involved in high-profile projects across the region including The Mercian, Edgbaston Cricket Ground and Peddimore.

The promotions of Ms Keilloh and Mr Deverell strengthen Turley's senior planning credentials across the Midlands and the pair will work with clients to help them bring forward key new developments in the region.

An extra full-time property inspector has been recruited to join Principle Estate Management in Birmingham to help manage the company's growing portfolio.

Matt Hill's new role was created after the number of developments the Birmingham-based company managed across the country reached more than 150 since its launch in spring 2018.

Mr Hill has worked at two national managing agents and has spent the last two-and-a-half years as a property inspector.
