My new hand-held computer from Palm has arrived. I've opted for the T/X with a GPS system and it's working admirably, and is reviewed in Friday's edition of Business Sense.
I've got to admit I wouldn't have bothered if not for the GPS, though. The Palm is a nice box, it's slim and it's efficient and it detects WiFi very easily, but my phone - a free-with-contract Sony Ericsson K750i, carries my contacts, picks up e-mail (slowly I must confess because it's a GPRS signal rather than WiFi or 3G) and keeps my diary synchronised with the office diary very easily indeed.
I do wonder how smart phones are going to become before the hand-held computer manufacturers start to have a problem. More on this in tomorrow's issue.
