New Halloween event will take you along terrifying woodland trail

A new Halloween event is coming to Merseyside this year for those who are brave enough to experience it.

The fright trail takes you through a forest in complete darkness, with organisers promising ‘you will be scared’.

To keep it a surprise, few details have been released but those attending must book in groups.

In a message to those thinking about booking, organisers said: “It will be dark, it will be scary” with the event being described as “not for the faint-hearted !!!”

People will stick to their own groups and wander along a mile long pathway under the cover of darkness, where anything could happen. There will be no interaction with other parties.

The event takes place at Go Outside, Shorrocks Hill, Lifeboat Road in Formby on the evening of Friday, October 30 and Halloween night itself. Groups can book hour long slots from 7pm on the Friday and 6pm on Saturday, and you can even experience the trail at midnight - if you dare to.

Last month it was confirmed that the popular Farmageddon event won’t go ahead this year due to coronavirus social distancing restrictions.
