A new government led by the Palang Pracharat Party (PPRP) is expected to be announced soon, PPRP secretary general Sontirat Sontijirawong said on Sunday, according to media reports.
Mr Sontirat said the PPRP is trying its best to set up a new government as soon as possible in accordance with the people's wishes.
He said the PPRP has extended an invitation to parties which share the same ideology and expected to get their replies soon. He thanked the parties which have already announced their intention to join the PPRP-led coalition.
The PPRP has negotiated with other parties on a party-to-party basis, he said, and paid close attention to their policies, which will be integrated into the PPRP programme to solve people's problems.
"We hope the talks can be concluded and the setting up of a new government can be announced soon," Mr Sontirat said.
