New gourmet burger joint set to open in Arnold

Get ready for a full stomach - as a new gourmet burger joint is set to be opening in Arnold shortly.

Ohannes Burger is giving little away at this point - other than posting mouth-watering pictures of burgers and teasers on social media, such as "Here is why you should try Ohannes Burger: IT IS INCREDIBLY DELICIOUS!" and "Are you ready to light the fire?"

The burgers will be served from the former premises of Live and Let Pie in Nottingham Road and work is underway to transform the property.

Ohannes Burger, a Turkish company, which promises: "We're here to make the best burger you've ever eaten" is looking to expand across the UK and Nottingham will be the first franchise.

"The idea of Ohannes Burger is a story of obsession that arises out of the passion for hamburgers from the American adventure of two fresh industrial engineers.

"We are people who like to have fun but are very serious about the products we offer. We are talking about brioche bread with butter, special 100% local beef meatballs, daily legend sauces made from fresh ingredients and hot fries."

There are 15 outlets across Turkey, including Antalya and Fethiye, with a menu ranging from the classic burger to a spicy Mexi Burger, Texas Chicken and Buttermilk Chicken.

The people behind the new Arnold venue are keeping schtum at the moment about the opening date despite repeated requests from eager locals.

All they're saying is: "Our burgers are worth the wait. Thank you for your patience."
