New Gmail Features Help You Track Deliveries and Spot the Best Deals

Gmail has got a new feature that might be used by almost everyone. The company is rolling out two new shopping features just ahead of the shopping season to track deliveries and find the best deals.

All Purchases and Deliveries in One Place

Gmail is introducing a dedicated purchase tracking view that gathers all your orders and delivery updates into a single, organised list. This new interface offers a quick overview of all your upcoming packages without digging through multiple emails.

Packages arriving within 24 hours will still be highlighted at the top of your primary inbox and within summary cards in purchase emails, but now you can see everything at once in a streamlined view.

The feature is already available on mobile and web for users with personal Google accounts worldwide. I live in India, and I have already got this feature since my recent Amazon deliveries are showing up at the top of my inbox, categorized by which package is coming today and which one is coming two days later.

Smarter Sorting for Promotions

Apart from that, Google is also improving Gmail’s Promotions tab. Soon, you’ll be able to sort promotional emails by “most relevant,” prioritising offers from brands and senders you engage with most.

Gmail will add subtle “nudges” to highlight timely deals and promotions so you won’t miss discounts or limited-time offers.

However, for someone who prefers to have an existing setup, you can continue sorting promotions by “most recent” instead. These changes will start rolling out to mobile users first in the coming weeks.

Google says the updates will reduce inbox clutter and make Gmail more personalized as people prepare for back-to-school shopping and the holiday season. By surfacing the most important purchase details and offers, Gmail hopes to save users time and make inbox management less of a hassle. Having experienced the purchase tracking feature, I can confidently say it’s really helpful, especially for someone like me who receives a large number of emails daily.
