A location and opening date is yet to be confirmed for the city's latest seafood venue, however Instagram followers have speculated the Fat Lobster could pop up in the former home of an old Glasgow seafood favourite, The Mussel Inn - the popular city centre spot, located at 157 Hope Street, was sadly forced to close during the pandemic, leaving customers devastated.
Social media posts also suggest the Fat Lobster will be 'coming soon', bringing an oyster bar to town, while promoting and serving sustainable Scottish seafood in the heart of Glasgow.
Fat Lobster's arrival would continue a recent trend in the city, with the opening of three other seafood spots, Shucks, Kelp and Gost all coming in recent weeks.
Glasgow Live have reached out to the Fat Lobster team for more information, which we'll share on the site as soon as we have it!
In the meantime, you can follow all updates on the new restaurant via the Fat Lobster Instagram page, here.
