New Glasgow B&M opening in Govan this April will be biggest branch in the city

A massive new B&M store is set to open in Glasgow this spring, and will be the biggest branch in the city.

The new superstore will be located in the vacant building previously used by Toys R Us in Govan.

It is expected to officially open its doors to customers on April 15, The Sun reports.

Bosses say it will be the largest B&M in Glasgow at 29,600 square feet.

Meanwhile, the former Govan B&M will be turned into an Aldi. The firm has said the move will allow new jobs to be created for local people in the area during "challenging times".

A spokesperson for the company said: “We’re feeling really positive about the creation of jobs for local people during these challenging times and we hope customers are going to be delighted with their new store.

“We are all really excited to get the doors open and welcome our new customers through the door in April.”
