Having had the opportunity to evaluate a prototype copy of Lovestruck, provided by Rabble, I must say that I was impressed by the overall production design and unique theming. While my collection boasts numerous games featuring elves and cyborgs, Lovestruck brings something refreshing to the table with its tan fitness instructors and yoga influencers. The role cards, despite being mechanically the same, encourage players to imbue their characters with personality, transforming the gameplay into a larger narrative that sparks genuine investment, similar to watching the actual television shows.
Looking ahead, I am eager to see potential expansions or stretch goals that delve deeper into the narrative aspect. More character roles could be introduced, breathing even more life into the game. Additionally, a date deck that provides inspiration for romantic encounters would be a fantastic addition, particularly for players less familiar with the genre who might struggle to create these scenarios on their own.
