German Doner Kebab is launching in Newcastle city centre following a £500,000 investment.
The chain will open on Newgate Street next week offering Geordie diners "game-changing" kebabs served in handmade toasted bread.
The restaurant is the chain's first in the city and has created 50 new jobs.

Work began in September to transform the venue into a trendy kebab restaurant that caters to families and groups of friends.
A spokeswoman for The DS Group, the franchise partner for German Doner Kebab Newcastle, said: "Customers can expect a contemporary, industrial look, our unique restaurant reflects our unique approach to kebabs.
"Our tried and tested methods bring a gourmet dining experience to Newcastle.
"We hope German Doner Kebab will offer families and groups of friends something new and different – delicious, fresh, healthy kebabs, with something on the menu for everyone to enjoy."
Diners will be able to see the kebabs freshly prepared in front of them and served in handmade toasted bread and the brand's 'signature' sauces.
The restaurant will hold a launch party this weekend before officially opening to customers next week, with an exact date still to be confirmed by management.
German Doner Kebab, which was founded in Berlin in 1989, now has over 90 restaurants around the world.
The Newcastle branch is the second in the North East as the chain forges ahead with plans to open another 47 new restaurants in the UK this year.
"We've been looking for a site in Newcastle for a while now, and the Newgate Street location is a perfect fit," a DS Group spokeswoman said.
"We are incredibly excited about bringing game-changing kebabs to the people of Newcastle."
When it launches, German Doner Kebab will be open from 11am to 11pm seven days a week.
