A new French-inspired bistro is due to open in South Liverpool this month.
Pierre Griffes Café Bar and Bistro aims to transport its customers to the heart of Paris, with a selection of food and wines inspired by the city.
Rustically styled with metro tiles, tan leather seats, natural woods and French-inspired dressing, the bistro plans to offer a dining experience that is atmospheric, comfortable and endearing.
At Pierre Griffes Café Bar and Bistro, light breakfasts will be served from 10.30am and will include croissants, pain au chocolat, asparagus and poached eggs, alongside a brunch menu which features croque monsieur, wild fried mushrooms in either a creamy sauce or a vegetarian option of tangy spiced stock.
Lunchtime diners will also be able to order a classic French omelette, steak baguettes and homemade soups along with other French-inspired dishes.
The evening menu will use some of France’s more traditional recipes, including starters of Moules Mariniere and baked camembert, as well as Coq au Vin, Boeuf Bourguignon and steak with French fries.

Pierre Griffes Café Bar and Bistro will open on Allerton Road from May 17.
Opening hours are from 10.30am - 11pm Monday to Saturday and 12pm-3pm on Sundays.
